Congratulations to Alliance member DePaul Industries on its expansion to Minneapolis!

The Portland, Oregon-based enterprise opened a staffing services branch in Minneapolis last October at the invitation of Minnesota Diversified Industries (MDI), a nonprofit with a similar mission to serve people with disabilities by offering inclusive employment opportunities and services.

MDI’s commercial services include contract production and packaging, and people with disabilities comprise nearly half of its workforce. As MDI’s staffing supplier, DePaul is helping them manage fluctuations in demand and support their integrated workforce.

Initially, DePaul has focused on deepening its relationship with MDI and ensuring that every step of the staffing process flow is running smoothly. The Minneapolis branch has 22 workers on assignment and is managed by Erika Peterson, who brings a strong combination of sales, recruiting and operations experience to the business.

As spring approaches, DePaul is looking to connect with additional community partners in the Twin Cities region, to build its candidate referral pipeline and support new industrial and admin/clerical business development.

Including the new site, DePaul’s staffing division has grown to seven states, including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Maryland and Delaware. “Bringing DePaul to Minnesota is part of our long-term plan,” says Vice President of Staffing Bart Berry. “We’re very excited to be in Minneapolis and working with such a fantastic anchor client.”
