The Alliance welcomes new member Challenge Unlimited, a leading provider of employment services to people with disabilities!

Headquartered in Alton, Illinois, across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, Missouri, Challenge Unlimited is an AbilityOne contractor that delivers facilities management and production services to businesses in five states.

Challenge Unlimited launched its staffing business in 2018 to employ people with disabilities, veterans and disadvantaged job seekers. Led by Staffing Manager Chance Belleza, the business currently manages 30 to 40 individuals on assignment with multiple clients, primarily in warehouse, food service and housekeeping positions.

In addition, the staffing business is exploring opportunities to host and manage apprentices with two staffing clients – an area hospital and a casino – that would build on Challenge Unlimited’s experience managing apprenticeship programs for custodians and groundskeepers through one of its contract sites.

President and CEO Charlotte Hammond was originally introduced to the alternative staffing model through fellow Alliance members and AbilityOne contractors DePaul Industries and Opportunities, Inc., and is thrilled to expand into this sector. First Step Staffing likewise provided valuable insights to her team during their business planning process.
