We're pleased to introduce new member Working Fields, a mission-driven staffing company operating in South Burlington, Rutland, and St. Albans, Vermont!

Founded by CEO Mickey Wiles 4 years ago, Working Fields places individuals in recovery into temp and temp-to-hire positions with employer partners in a variety of industries, and provides workers with weekly recovery coaching to support their success. About 70% of the company’s talent also have a criminal record.

Recovery coaching covers a wide range of services, from life coaching and support to address the logistical challenges of starting a new life to helping candidates navigate social services and advocating on their behalf.

Mickey launched the business out of his own recovery and desire to give others a second chance, and his understanding that most people returning from incarceration lack vital support systems to fulfill their desire for a decent life. His plan is to grow the business across Vermont and New England over the next 5 years, with a goal of 10 offices and $16 million in revenue.
