New Member: 70 Million Jobs, Los Angeles, California

July 25, 2019

The Alliance welcomes new member 70 Million Jobs, a national for-profit business designed to connect formerly incarcerated job seekers with “Second Chance-friendly” employers.

The company’s name reflects the under-tapped talent pool of 70 million Americans – 1 in 3 working age adults – with some kind of criminal record.

Founder and CEO Richard Bronson launched the business in 2017 as an online job board to connect job seekers with employment opportunities at companies willing to give people a second chance and eager to source highly motivated talent. Richard was driven to create an employment platform through his own experience reentering the job market after a two-year prison term.

Today, the company’s candidate database totals 11 million individuals, built through a network of some 450 nonprofits, probation and parole agencies, and other referral partners.

In May, 70 Million Jobs launched its staffing and recruiting arm, which has begun screening and matching candidates to fulfill specific job orders and serves as employer-of-record for these placements. The staffing service was developed in response to many employers expressing their preference to work with a staffing agency.

Richard and his staff aim to connect 10,000 people to employment in the coming year. Ultimately he expects the firm to become the largest employer of individuals with criminal records in the United States, if not the world.

We extend a warm welcome to the team at 70 Million Jobs!
