Congratulations to member StepUp Wilmington in North Carolina on the launch of their staffing enterprise! Business Partnership Manager Tessa Ford is focusing on account development for the new venture, while Recruiting Manager Bruce Grant oversees candidate recruitment, placement and support.

As a startup, the business is leveraging StepUp’s existing base of business partners and a strong employment services brand built on thorough screening and matching of candidates, a 32-hour job readiness training, and retention supports that promote long-term success.

The new enterprise has secured 8 contracts to date with employers in manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality, and began placing candidates in October. A current priority is to expand their talent pipeline beyond StepUp’s in-house pool of job seekers.
